We, as a part of the life around the Topkapı Palace Museum in Istanbul, are a bit more excite than usual nowadays.
After long years of efforts for fundamental strengthening and restorations inside this 15th century flank of the Topkapi Palace is now openng its gates to visitors again!
This series of structures are hosting precious collections of clothes, jewelries and thrones of former sultans of Topkapı Palace.
The clothes section exhibits the styles of several centuries with patterns on materials like silk, wool and fur. The talismanic symbols, on the other hand, reveals the superstitious expectations of these people of power from 16th to 18th century. Meanwhile, the 19th century looks different with modern and military style reflecting the western influence.
Last but not least, the terrace of this section was presenting one of the best panoramic views of Istanbul over the Bosphorus and Princes Islands.
